Welcome
The Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Cabarrus County are Extension-trained volunteers, who help the County Horticultural Agent do their job of teaching people about plants. They work to put on an annual herb festival for the public in April. In the fall they help conduct the environmental field days for the sixth graders in conjunction with the county fair. They also develop an educational booth for the county fair. We also staff various home and garden show booths along with special projects. Want to become a Master Gardener Volunteer? Mission Statement
The Mission of the Association is to improve our community through horticulture by providing education, participating in community outreach, encouraging stewardship of the environment, and providing current research-based information to the citizens of our county. We carry out this mission through a network of volunteers under the auspices of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Cabarrus County Center. |
